Get ready for an evening of astronomical proportions! The Museum of Discovery and Science’s auxiliary group, Friends of MODS, will host “Starry Night at the Museum” on Tuesday November 18, 2014 at 6 p.m.

The price of admission to Starry Night at the Museum includes access to the reception, located in the traveling exhibit hall, complete with open bar and themed ‘space’ cocktails, hor d’oeuvres, a special silent auction, DJ, raffle prizes and entry to the AutoNation IMAX Theater! Attendees will get to journey into the new Black Holes: Space Warps & Time Twists as it pulls them in to the modern search for real black holes—the most mysterious and powerful objects in the universe.

This extraordinary intergalactic evening concludes with a screening of Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar: The IMAX Experience 70mm Film on the BIGGEST Screen in South Florida! Interstellar - starring Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, and Jessica Chastain - about a group of explorers making use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage. It is already gaining praise as one of Christopher Nolan’s best films to date.

Guests will experience Interstellar: The IMAX Experience 70mm Film  at AutoNation® IMAX Theater, which is the only theater south of Orlando showing Interstellar in 15 perf/70mm film format allowing viewers to experience the full size of Christopher Nolan’s special IMAX scenes on the five-story high IMAX screen. The 15 perf/70mm IMAX Experience ® combines the brightest, clearest images at almost 10 times the resolution of standard projection formats, with powerful, laser-aligned digital sound and customized theater geometry to create the world’s most immersive movie experience.

Regular Seating tickets are $45 for MODS members and for $55 non-members. VIP Preferred Seating Tickets are $60 for MODS members and $70 for non-members. VIP Seating includes one free raffle ticket.
